I have a confession to make. Although I’ve organized many bathrooms, including putting beautiful and functional systems in place for my clients’ makeup, skincare, and jewelry collections, I had practically zero organization with the exception of one bin for my skincare products. In fact, I have been using a travel makeup bag for all of my makeup for as long as I can remember. I simply got the bag out, did my makeup, and then dumped it all back in and threw it in the counter under the sink.

 

Until now! It’s like The Container Store gods were looking out for me, because they reached out and offered to send me the most beautiful products to help me jumpstart my bathroom’s organization. I’m so pleased with the results.

 

When we moved into our current house I was excited about the middle section of our bathroom and the space it would allow for me to organize….and then I proceeded to do nothing with it except to throw some product I had left over from our previous home’s bathroom. Chris and I do not have a ton of products in general, so with our own set of drawers and cabinets under the sink on our own sides, there was not much that technically needed to go in here. In addition, we have a separate linen closet. So much more space than we need. Here’s a picture of the space before. Bleak and sad.

 

 

I had to get creative and as soon as I saw the luxe acrylic modular system, I knew just what I wanted to do. I don’t have a ton of jewelry, and a standard amount of makeup, making this setup the perfect fit. I love that you can clearly see inside the containers because of the crystal acrylic that is used, making labeling optional. (I almost always choose to label though ;-))

 

What I love to do in the morning is pull the drawer insert out and place it on my counter while I’m getting ready. The base stays inside the cabinet, ready for me to place it all back perfectly when I’m done.

 

 

 

 

I have been using this system for about a month now, and have been delighted at the ease in which I can get ready. I love having the mirrored open tray on top with my jewelry, and find that I have been wearing more of it now. The only downside, is now I want more! LOL.

Next, I gave my skincare products on the shelves above a little face lift as well. I used 2 luxe acrylic cosmetic & blush organizers, turned sideways to separate my am and pm products. I didn’t label these because I liked the clean look.

 

Organizing tip to streamline your morning and evening skincare routine: Separate your morning skincare products from your nighttime skincare products. It helps make going through your skincare routine much simpler not having to rummage through all of your products.

You also have the option of stacking the drawers on top of the countertop. I actually tried it out both ways and like it equally. Ultimately I went with placing the drawers inside the middle cabinet because it was an otherwise dead space. I’m also a sucker for cleared countertops. 🙂
