Organizing Board Games | Client Space
Board game boxes can be bulky, tear down over time, and can be a pain to keep up with. Recently while working at the home for one of our in-home organizing clients, we implemented this easy solution for organizing family games.

Here’s a look at the board games before.

Part of the issue with board game storage is that the boxes are all different heights and widths, making simply stacking them up difficult. Our plan when organizing this space was to provide uniformity to the area, and to implement a system that wouldn’t be fussy for our in-home organizing client and her family to keep up with.
Here’s what we used:
ZIPPERED VINYL & MESH POUCHES
We used multiple sizes, based on needs, and purchased ours from The Container Store. Amazon also has great options which are linked as well.

LARGE FELT BASKET
We matched the basket we used to organize the board games to our client’s home design aesthetic. Here are a few other options that could work as well.
THE PLAN:
Remove all of the games along with the game pieces and instructions from their original boxes and place them in the zippered pouches to provide a uniform and easy to keep up with solution. Place bags in the two large felt bins in the designated game cabinet. *Note: any game boards that did not fit in the largest bag were placed behind the bags.

*BONUS* Since we are talking about games, I took a poll from my Instagram audience and did a quick round up of some family faves!
